Amber Ray is a multi-faceted performance artist, writer, dancer, actress, and multi-art model musing weekly in NYC and always expanding beyond. She features classic burlesque balloon and fan dances, as well as silly, serious and sensual theme characters which oftentimes incorporate dynamic props for visual delights and a fierce twist. She has performed at many night club events (i.e. Webster Hall, True, Galapagos and The Slipper Room), as well as

charity balls, art presentations, and cabaret shows including Blue Angel/Le Scandal, Coney Island Side Show (Siren Music Festival), The Va Va Voom Room, Bombshell Burlesque, Viva Vavoom (Baltimore), Tease-O-Rama 2002 (San Francisco), Mayor Bloomberg's company picnic (w/Pink Inc.), the Agent Provocateur fashion show, and The Five Spot Peek-A-Boo Review (Philadelphia). Her drag, glamour, and cartoonish performances embody the costume dynamics and/or dance stylings of Cirque du Soleil, Pee Wee's Playhouse, traditional fairy-tales, The Ziegfield Follies, The Moulin Rouge, Josephine Baker, Marlene Dietrich, and downtown NYC's vibrant art and club nightlife. She has turned up in Carbon 13 and Allspice Magazines, won the Bettie Page Contest NYC 2002, and worked with noted photographers such as Lee Higgs, Charles Gatewood, and Mark Lacy.
